Wilma Glenn Patterson

Selma, Alabama

Wilma Glenn Patterson of Selma, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at her home.

She was born in Chilton County on August 20, 1934 to the late Dewey O. Glenn and the late Myrtle Jacks Glenn.

Mrs. Wilma and her late husband, Mr. James "Curtis" Patterson, Sr. were the owners and operators of Dallas Heating and Air.

Mrs. Wilma was a true follower of Jesus Christ and put her faith and trust in the Lord at an early age. She was a proud member of the Church of God and more specifically the Selma Church of God.  She and Curtis were married at Selma Church of God on November 1, 1952 and were married for 63 years until his passing in 2016. She was loved by all that knew her and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her sons, James C. Patterson, Jr. (Cynthia) and Stephen "Steve" W. Patterson (Patti); grandson, Adam Patterson (Heaven); granddaughter, Stephanie Patterson; great-grandchildren, Easton Patterson, Emery Patterson, Blaine Scott, and Blythe Scott; siblings, Barbara Goodwin (Marvin), Jeanette Corley, and Ira Wayne Glenn (Lilly); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Wilma is preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Myrtle Glenn; and her husband, James C. "Curtis" Patterson, Sr..

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Selma Funeral Home with Rev. R.O. Eubanks officiating.

Interment will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens.

 

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Lighthouse Nursing Home at 2911 Earl Goodwin Pkwy, Selma, Alabama 36703 or to Park Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at 100 Park Place, Selma, Alabama 36701.

Final care and arrangements have been faithfully entrusted to the caring and professional staff of the Selma Funeral Home.
