Willie J. Bush

Mr. Willie J. Bush age 83 of Tyler, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.

He was born in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Marion A. Bush, Sr. and the late Mary Wise Bush.

Mr. Bush served his country faithfully with more than 20 years of service in the United States Air Force as an aircraft mechanic.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Wanda Bennett Bush; his children, Kevin Bush (Alecia), Jodie Bush, and Stacy Nelson (Erik); grandchildren, Megan Harrison (Lanny), Tyler Bush (Lauren), Kameron Bush Reagan Nelson, Blakely Nelson, Aiden Bahna, Amelia Bahna, and Audrey Bahna; and great-grandchildren, Emma Harrison and Ella Harrison.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Catherine Perdue, Marion Bush, Jr., Marvin Bush, John Bush, and Mary Lou Bass.

Funeral services will be held from the Sister Springs Baptist Church in Tyler on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert Bayne officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Wood Spivey, KC Nelson, Lanny Harrison, Tyler Bush, Kameron Bush, and Erik Nelson.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Southern Care Hospice of their gentle and compassionate care.

Final care has been entrusted to the Selma Funeral Home of Valley Grande, Alabama.
