William “Cricket” Bruner

July 18, 1933 — November 19, 2022

Magnolia Springs, Alabama

William “Cricket” Bruner of Magnolia Springs, Alabama and formerly of Marion Junction, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at his home at the age of  89.

He was a mechanic.

He is survived by children, Greg (Jamie) Bruner, Rene (Steve) Craig, Belinda (Billy Burton) Holbrook; grandchildren, JR (Cathy) Bruner, Elizabeth (John) Strickland, Russell (Lizzie) Pardue, Donald (Stephanie) Holbrook, Jessica Foley; 13 great-grandchildren; and siblings, George (Catherine) Bruner, Jr., Charles (Debbie) Bruner, and Martha (Skipper) Ellis. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara Bruner; sisters, Cordelia McDonald, Daisy Cochran, Mary Ingram; and brother, Randall Bruner. 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 2:30pm from the Chapel of Selma Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in the Horton-Hongisto Family Cemetery in Marion Junction.

Pallbearers will be Donald Holbrook, Russell Pardue, JR Bruner, Chris Horton, John Holbrook, and Steve Craig.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home beginning at 1:30 p.m..

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Lowery Town Baptist Church at 4911 Lowery Town Rd., West Blocton, Alabama 35184.

Final care and arrangements have been faithfaithfully entrusted to the professional  staff at the Selma Funeral Home.
