Walter Myers, Sr.

Walter Charles Myers, Sr., age 86, of Selma, AL, passed away January 10, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Myers; son, Dana Dean Myers; parents, Walter and Helen Myers; brothers, Glenn Myers and Carl Myers and sisters, Pauline Camp and Thelma Skiles. He is survived by his son, Walter (Barbara) Myers, Jr.; daughter, Sherilyn (Randall) Bruhn; brother, Calvin (Dorothy) Myers; sister, Linda (Lynn) Battershell; grandchildren, Brittaney (John) Gray and Amy Messer; great grandchildren, Aria Gray, Landon Messer and Payton Messer. Mr. Myers was a Sgt. 1st Class in The U.S. Army and served in the Korean Conflict from 1949 to 1952. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home with Pastor Travis Barnes officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1-2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
