Vernon R. "Bud" Tyler of Selma passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at his home. He was born in Clay County, Arkansas on June 9, 1935 to the late Jim Frankiln Tyler and the late Flora Cornelia Thomas Tyler.
He served in the United States Air Force for 20 years and retired from the auto industry after 25 years of service.
He is survived by his children, Michael (Penny) Tyler, David Tyler, and Pamela (Henry) Moss; grandchildren, Stephanie (Sloan) Smith, Brandon (Shannon) Tyler, Austin Tyler, Sarah Moss, and Mathyn Moss; and great-grandchildren, Seth Smith, Symone Smith, Makayla Tyler, Caleb Tyler, and Sydney Smith.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Flora "Jean" Tyler; parents, Jim and Flora C. Tyler; and siblings, Alene Fitzgerel, Lloyd Tyler, Raymond Tyler, and Verla F. Tyler.
Private family services will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from the Selma Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be live streamed from the Selma Funeral Home Facebook page.
Final care and arrangements have been entrusted to Selma Funeral Home.
