Teresa Riddle, aged 71, died on March 19, 2024 after a battle with cancer in Pelham, AL. Teresa was born March 28, 1951 in Selma, AL.

She is survived by her loving husband Larry Wade Riddle, her children Brooke Kaiser and Jarrod Nichols, stepson Brian Riddle (Robin), her sister Jacqueline Mims (Rick), seven grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother and step father, Katherine and Chester Chappelle, her brother Norman “Toby” McCurdy, a step sister, Linda Chappelle Carter, and a half sister, Vesta Smith.

Teresa graduated from Dallas County High School, received B.A. and MEd degrees from the University of
Montevallo, and a PhD from the University of Alabama. She was a retired educator, a Shelby County
Master Gardener, an active member of her neighborhood Beaver Creek Preserve in Pelham, and an
active member of the body of believers at her church, Hunter Street Baptist Church in Hoover, AL.

A viewing is scheduled for Friday, March 22, 2024 at Selma Funeral Home in Valley Grande, Alabama beginning at 1:00 p.m., with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. in the Selma Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens.
