Suzanne Gentry Smith, age 75 of Selma, passed away on August 19, 2019. She was born on July 1, 1944 in Evansville, IN to Ted Ernest Gentry and Louise Sellers Gentry.
She faithfully served First Baptist Church Selma for many years as the church organist.
She is survived by her children, Jeff (Ann) Smith, Gentry (Penny) Smith, and Suzie (David) Nichols; Grandchildren, T.J. Smith IV, Blake Walton, Mitchell Johnson, Summer Smith, Reed Smith, Mary Catherine Nichols, and Caroline Nichols; Great-grandchildren, Braydn Stokes and Ryker Bone; Siblings, Ted Lee Gentry, John Wesley Gentry, and Caroline (AJ) Gentry Molett Krause.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Louise Gentry; and a granddaughter, Leslie Stokes.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. from the First Baptist Church Selma with Dr. Jerry Light officiating and Selma Funeral directing.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the First Baptist Church Selma Choir.
Interment will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma.
