Susan Smith Burns, age 66 of Selma passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family and close friends.
She is survived by her husband, Tommy Burns; children, Christopher "Wren" (Mandy) Burns, Amanda (Stephen) Sparks, and Mary Susan Burns; Mother, Sue Long; and grandchildren, Cleveland Burns Thomas Burns, Mary Helen Callaway, Jack Callaway, Lala Burns, Claudia Sparks, and Will Sparks.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Michael Earl Smith; aunt, Helen Cochran; and grandmother, Edna Ballard.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery with Minister Bryant Evans officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Crawford Henry, Will Pearce, Clark Burns, Brad Ellis, David Pearce, Roland Guyet, George Ballard, and Stanley Burns.
Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Henry, David Pearce, Sr., Lee Calame, Mickey Miller, Buster Zuelzke, Beau Boyd, and William Free.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Lung Association.
