Sue Parten

Sue Parten, age 69, of Selma, AL, passed away September 19, 2018.She was preceded in death by her parents Fred Lawson Stringer and Emma Jean Sewell Stringer. ; husband, James Parten, Sr. and brother, Fred Stringer, Jr.; sisters, Dorothy Parten and Patsy Julian.Surviving are her children, James (Linda) Parten, Jr. and Susan Parten Gibson; grandchildren, Christopher S. Parten, Alexander T. Parten, Joe A. Gibson, Jr., and Melissa H. Gibson; sister, Elizabeth Barger, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and step grandchildren.Funeral services will be held Sunday September 23, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. in the Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rod Rochester officiating. Interment will be in New Live Oak Cemetery with Selma Funeral Home directing.Visitation will be held Saturday September 22, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. in the Selma Funeral Home Chapel.Pallbearers will be family and friends.
