Ronald Merritt, Sr.

Mr. Ronald A. Merritt, Sr. age 76 of Minter, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2019 at his home. He was born in Alabama on December 6, 1943, son of the late Arthur Merritt and the late Cora Gilbert Merritt.
He worked as an electrician for 25 years at International Paper. He served his country in the United States Army and was also a member of the Selma Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Nelda Brown Merritt; children, Ronald A. Merritt, Jr. and Michael Scott Merritt; grandchildren, Jeremy Merritt, Felicia Merritt, Kristina Merritt, Emily Merritt, and Amanda Merritt; and brother, James Merritt.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Cora Merritt; and brother, Donnie Merritt.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Charlie Duckett officiating.
