She was born in Selma on January 29, 1961 to the late Hilbert and Bernice Johnson.
She is survived by her brother, Melvin Johnson; children, Veronica (Chris) Friday and Charles Rowlett; grandchildren, Taylor Rowlett, Lauren Jordan, Brooke Pugh, Claye Hopkins, Ashlyn Friday, Tucker Friday, Shianne Smith, Shannen Smith, Nicole Smith, James Johnson, Gabby Johnson, Sam Johnson, Dylan Friede, Madison Bowden, Isabella Bowden, Jacob Bowden, Ethan Everidge, Trey Quigley; nieces, Melissa (Justin) Smith and Debra (Tate) Bowden.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Hilbert and Bernice Johnson, husband; Ronnie Hopkins, mother-in-law; Wilodean Newsome, father-in-law; Buck Newsome, nephew; Alan Johnson and special friend; Jimmie Smith.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 from the Selma Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Robert Walker officiating.
Interment will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Tate Bowden, Chris Friday, Justin Smith, Ethan Everidge, James Johnson and Charles Rowlett.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Claye Hopkins.
