Naoma Priscilla "Prissy" Harris age 87 of Selma, passed away Tuesday, December 29 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center in Selma.
She was born on August 19, 1933 in Virginia to the late Marshal Conner and the late Goldie Hostetter Conner.
She was a retired caregiver, homemaker, and owner of Harris House Daycare.
She is survived by her children, Johnny Ray (Krystal) Harris and Brenda Lovelady; grandchildren, Chandra Sussanne (Bo) Franklin, Charity Monicque "Nikki" Johnson and Felecia Rachelle (Ashley) Strickland; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Betty Mckey.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Harris; parents, Marshall and Goldie Conner; and siblings, Dorothy Fitzgerald, Carl Conner, William Conner, and Marshall Conner, Jr.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2021 from the Selma Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Lane Harris officiating.
Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, AL with Dr. David Thomas officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Billy Moore, Tommy Harris, Donavan Davis, Danny Gaylor, Kent Harris, and Robert Dean.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Harris, Lane Harris, Austin Harris, Frank Moore, Greyson Roof, and Charlie Worrell.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers at Park Place Nursing Home and Vaughan Regional Medical Center and especially to Karen Bolten and Leah Moreland of the ICU.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1767 County Road 12, Sardis, AL 36775.
