David "Kevin" Edwards age 57 of Selma, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Baptist Hospital South in Montgomery.
He was born in Selma, Alabama on September 26, 1964 to Walter David Edwards and Brenda Mitchell Edwards.
David is survived by his children, Emily Kaitlyn Wright (Kalem), Porter Edwards, and Lilly Frances Edwards; Parents, Walter and Brenda Edwards; Sister, Kendall Clingan (Lane Vanigen); nephew, Sage Clingan; aunts, Donna Huey and Gloria Ward (Butch); uncles, Ellis Edwards (Charlotte), Billy Edwards (Deannie), Steve Edwards (Linda); numerous cousins, other relatives, and the mother of his children, Teresa Meadows Edwards.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Frances Hamm, Curtis Hamm, Wilson Mitchell, Ella Ray Edwards, and Bill Edwards; uncle, Larry Edwards; aunt, Carol White; and uncle, Larry Huey.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the First Baptist Church of Selma with Dr. Jerry Light officiating.
Internment will follow in the Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday beginning at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Selma.
Pallbearers will be Bubba Stough, Brett Harrison, Boyd Fuller, Bruce Fuller, Mike Little, and David Summerlin.
Honorary Pallbearers will be longtime friends at Walter Craig, Wednesday Night Domino Club, co-workers and friends with the Dallas County Commission Office, and his longtime hunting and fishing buddies.
