Mildred Jane Strickland, age 81, of Selma, AL, passed away August 27, 2007.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Homer Strickland, Sr. and her son, James H. Strickland, Jr. and brother, Sam Putnam.
Surviving are her sons, Kenneth (Catherine) Strickland and David (Patty) Strickland; brothers, Neal Putnam and David Putnam; grandchildren, Brian Strickland, Jeanine Strickland, Melody Strickland, Felecia Strickland, Kevin Strickland, and great- grandchildren, Stephanie Nicole Willard, Katie Strickland and Cameron Strickland.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 31, 2007, 11:00 a.m. at Barrett Road Methodist Church with Rev. Deborah Born officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. Interment will be in Braggs Cemetery in Braggs, AL. Visitation will be Thursday, August 30, 2007, 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Strickland, David Strickland, Brian Strickland and Kevin Strickland.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Park Place Nursing Home, 100 Park Place, Selma, AL 36701.
