Mary Keyes

Mary Frances Keyes, 79, of Petal, Mississippi and formerly of Selma, Alabama, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Forrest General Hospital.

Mrs. Keyes was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Selma. She loved shopping and was a previous recipient of the Outstanding Prime Timer of the Year.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Keyes; two sons, Gilbert Long and James Bennett; one grandson, Richard Long; two sisters, Gail Smitherman (Marvin) and Linda Booker (Ralph); and two nephews, Wayne Booker and Robbie Booker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, L.J. and Frances Perry and one brother, Ray Perry.

The family will hold a funeral service on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Petal, 789 East Central Ave., Petal, MS 39465, and will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m..

The family will also hold a graveside service at Pineview Memory Gardens in Valley Grande, Alabama on Wednesday October 12, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. David Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Selma Funeral Home.
