Margaret Lide (Rowell) McClellan, 95, passed away peacefully with family and friends by her side at her home in Pensacola on Sunday, June 24, 2018.Margaret was born on June 1, 1923 in Carlowville, AL. She lived most of her life in Pensacola and was a life-long member of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church. She was a friend to all, kind and gentle, always smiling and happy, and helping those in need. Throughout her full life, she enjoyed water skiing on Bayou Texar, going to the beach, serving at church, dancing, gardening and playing with her beloved puppy, LuLu. She loved to sit in the mornings watching birds from her kitchen table window.Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, William Knox and Julia Lee Lide; her beloved husbands, Burton Rowell Sr. and Dr. Willard McClellan; a son, Burton Rowell Jr.; and her sister, Rebecca Johnson.She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Jeannine Rowell; step-daughters, Genie Hobson (Don), Betty McClellan (Michael) and Pat Church (Dan); grandsons, Benjamin Rowell and Knox Rowell (Rachel); great-grandchildren, Roman, Rex and Roxy; special nephew, Rob Potts; as well as step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Eternal gratitude to the many years of loving care from Judy, Joyce, Sandra and her loving and wonderful neighbors.Memorial Service will be held 11:00am Friday, June 29, 2018 at St Christopher's Episcopal Church, 3200 N. 12th Ave., Pensacola, FL, with the Reverend Susan Sowers, Rector, officiating. Reception will follow in the Parish Hall. Graveside Committal Service will be held 11:30am Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the Carlowville Cemetery, Carlowville, AL.Special thanks to the Emerald Coast Hospice Team for taking such great care of Margaret.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Christopher's Episcopal Church or Emerald Coast Hospice, 5111 N. 12th Ave. Suite B, Pensacola, FL 32504.
