Louise Grant, age 90 of Hope Hull, Alabama passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 14, 2022 in Benton, Alabama surrounded by her family.
She was born in Coosa County, Alabama on June 19, 1932, daughter of the late Jessie James Gothard and Rosie Bell Gothard.
She was a homemaker.
Ms. Grant is survived by her children, Terrance Wayne Grant (Barbara), Terresa Grant Logan (Duke), and Aubrey Wayne Grant, Jr. (Shay); six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Nell Whitley; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends, Eloise Branch and Myrtle Henderson.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Aubrey Wayne Grant, Sr.; and siblings, Alma Blackburn, Pauline Blackburn, Robbie Hall, Stanley Gothard, and Glover Gothard.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Oakview Cemetery in Lowndes County with Rev. Jonathan Jenkins officiating.
Pallbearers will be Aubrey Wayne Grant, III, Jens Andrew Johnson, Larry Glynn Lott, Nathan Daniel Moore, Ethan Farrell Stoker, Sr., Ethan Farrell Stoker, Jr., and Hunter Grant Stoker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Len Davis Blackburn, Jakob Rockwell Johnson, Jens Connor Johnson, Gary Julian, Larry Lott, William Richarsdon, and Danny Turner.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Selma Funeral Home.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Oakview Cemetery or the Shriners Hospitals for Children at 2900 Rocky Point Drive Tampa, FL 33607.
