Kent Harris age 74 of Selma, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Baptist Hospital South in Montgomery.
He was born in Selma on August 10, 1947 to Charlie Batson Harris and Louvenia Cobb Harris.
Kent retired from International Paper after more than 30 years of service. He also served his country in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Harris; children, Sherri (Boris) Levins and Randy (Tonya) Harris; grandchildren, MaCain (Kimberly) Levins, Kirstin (Tyler Linney) Harris, Briar Levins, Haysten Levins, Marit-Hagen Levins, Kassidy Harris, and Harper Levins; great-grandson, Harris Levins; siblings, Annie Jean Hunter, Jimmy Harris, Glenn (Marion) Harris, Vicki Fancher, and Scotty (Kim) Harris; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Louvenia Harris; and brother, William Wayne Harris.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 2:00 pm from the Crosspoint Christian Church in Selma with Rev. Alan Yarbrough officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.
Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, Alabama.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1-2 pm at the church.
Pallbearers will be MaCain Levins, Briar Levins, Haysten Levins, Boris Levins, Scotty Harris, and Blake Harris.
Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Ray Harris, Buddy Harris, David Etheridge, and T.J. Etheridge.
