Kay Elrod Pomeroy age 84 of Union, MS and formerly of Plantersville, passed away on October 21, 2020 at her home. She was born in Alabama on November 22, 1935 to the late Arthur Elrod and the late Evelyn Deason Elrod.
She was a retired nurse.
She is survived by her children, Phila Pomeroy Blaylock of Montgomery, Scott (Kelly) Pomeroy of Selma, and LeAnn (Tim) Crawford of Union, MS; grandchildren, Brent (Molly) Crawford of Collinsville, MS, Lauren (Jeremy) Logan of Katy, TX, Alie Crawford Burt of Prattville, Lindsay (Meng) Ung of Cypress, TX, Kaysie (Wes) Wilkins of Wetumpka, Drew (Sarah) Pomeroy of Lousiville, KY, and John Pomeroy of Birmingham: 14 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Mike (John) Trammell of Sylacauga and Ted Elrod of Sylacauga.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John E. Pomeroy; son, Buford Pomeroy; parents, Arthur and Evelyn Elrod; and siblings, Steve Elrod and Danny Elrod.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 3:30 pm at Plantersville Christian Church Cemetery with Rev. Mike Wyatt officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that contributions be made to the Plantersville Christian Church Cemetery Fund or to a local hospice of your choice.
Final care and arrangements have been entrusted to Selma Funeral Home.
