John Rasberry, Jr.

John "Bubba" D. Rasberry, Jr. age 54 of Daphne, AL and formerly of Jones, passed away on October 2, 2020. He was born is Selma on March 4, 1966 to the late John D. Rasberry, Sr. and Jerry Surles Rasberry.
He was a pipefitter. Bubba also proudly served his country as a United States Marine veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn Gardner Rasberry; children, Antonia (Kevin) Gross, Sylvia (Tuan Nguyen) Concepcion, Paul "PJ" King, Patrick (Madea) King, and Zoie Abbigail Rasberry; grandchildren, Penelope Gross and Evan King; mother, Jerry Lynn Smitherman; sisters, Kaye (Joe) Smitherman, Faye (Donnie) Logan, Rosemarie Witherington, and Patricia (Mike) Furr; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, John D. Rasberry, Sr.; step-father, Jim Smitherman; father-in-law, Daniel Paul Gardner; paternal grandparents, Johnnie C. and Willie M. Rasberry; and his maternal grandparents, Ronald and Ozelle Surles.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at 2:00 pm from the Bethel Baptist Church in Jones with Rev. Rod Rochester officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Patrick King, Daniel Bell, William Motley, Mack Rasberry, Randy Sims, Derek Logan, Justin Parker, and Bill Motley.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2020 from 5-7 at Selma Funeral Home.
Final care and arrangements have been entrusted to Selma Funeral Home.
