Jimmy Joseph Johnson

Mr. Jimmy Joseph Johnson Marion passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at the Perry County Nursing Home in Marion at the age of 81.

He was born on February 20, 1942 to the late EW Johnson and the Bessie Edwards Johnson.

Mr. Jimmy is survived by his wife Elizabeth Cochran Johnson; sons, Joey Johnson and Steve (Beth) Johnson; grandchildren, Parker Johnson (Lauren) and Caroline Johnson; siblings, Mary Tucker (John), Jerry Johnson (Judy), Eddie Johsnon (Brenda) and Ronald Johnson (Glenda); and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the Mt. Pleasant Freewill Baptist Church in Sprott, Alabama with Rev. Larry Nichols officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Parker Johnson, Josh Price, Roy Lynch, Matthew Price, Justin Cottingham, Mike Cochran, Doug Hoggle, Jim Lashober, and James Carter,

Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Thomas, Kelly Thomas, Linda Smith, Barbara Cain, James & Alice Carter, the staff and residents of Perry County Nursing Home, Dr. Shane Lee, Dr. Ben Lee, and Dr. Hannah Lee.

Final care and arrangements have been faithfully entrusted to the Selma Funeral Home.
