James Earl Tidwell

James Earl Tidwell, age 87 of Jones, passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

Earl was born in Georgia to the late Buford Tidwell and the late Pauline Tidwell.

He was a teacher.

He is survived by wife of 53 years, Jean Tidwell; children, Darrell Edwards, Carla (Ricky) Bennett, and Mike (Kelly) Tidwell; brother, Clarence Tidwell; numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and numerous siblings.

The family will hold a private service at a later date. 

Final care and arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Selma Funeral Home of Valley Grande, Alabama.
