Inez Smith

Inez Smith, age 76, passed away Monday, October 16, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Agnes Smith; brothers, James C. Smith, Dan Scurlock, Buddy Smith; sisters, Laura Martin, Annie Mae Barr, Margaret Smith Averett, Bertice Smith Kinard and Kathleen Smith Patterson. She is survived by her sons, Frankie (Lissa) Johnson, Kenneth Johnson, Michael Johnson and daughter, Cathy Johnson (Paul) Portwood; brother, Jack (Pat) Smith; sisters, Kay (Johnny) Moseley and Jean (Brantley) Fondren; grandchildren, Bryan (Genevieve) Johnson, Christina Walker, Mitchell Johnson, Daniel Portwood, Harleigh Johnson, Corbin Johnson; great-grandchildren, Leo Johnson, Kylie Johnson and Alex Johnson; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be Friday October 20, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Heart Association or the Selma Animal Shelter.
