HENRY T. LOVE, age 83, of Collirene, Alabama, passed away at home surrounded by family on March 25, 2021, after a brief illness.
Henry was born on August 29, 1937 to Paul Henderson Love and Effie Ulela Parkerson. After graduating from Hayneville High School, he went on to study at Troy University.
He worked at Bush Hog for over 50 years. Henry was passionate about the agricultural industry and loved what he did for a living.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Delcie Marie Whitt, two sons, Henry Gordon Love (Stacey) and Thomas Ray Love (Connie), two brothers, Robert Love (Anne) and Sidney Love (Linda), three grandchildren, Alicia Killough (Doug), Tyler Love (Anna) and Joel Love (Whitney), and six great grandchildren, Olivia Killough, Lane Killough, Luke Killough, Noah Love, Sam Garrett and Rachel Garrett and numerous nieces and nephews.
Henry was predeceased by his parents at a young age, Paul Henderson Love and Effie Ulela Parkerson; the foster parents that raised him, Murry Gordon Rives and Clarice Taylor Rives; siblings, Mary Elizabeth Morgan and Rachel Rau, and a grandson, Christopher Gordon Love.
Pallbearers will be John Pigg, Robert Pigg, Joel Love, Tyler Love, Gary Burden and Tommy Swindle.
Visitation will be held at Selma Funeral Home on March 28, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with service to follow in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. and internment at Pineview Memory Gardens, Selma, Alabama. Pastor Travis Barnes officiating.
