Frankie Rainwater Crane age 93 of Selma, finally made it home on July 6, 2022.
Born in Autauga County, Alabama on May 17, 1929 to the late Acie Benjamin Rainwater and the late Clara Jones Rainwater.
She was retired from All Lock of Selma where she was employed for over 30 years.
Mrs. Crane was a faithful member of the Selma Church of God for over 40 years. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a faithful and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was loved by everyone that knew her and was lovingly called "Granny" by so many. She will be solely missed by her family and her many friends.
She is survived by her children, Peggy C. (Leonard) Hicks, James C. Crane, Lois C. Fondren, and Diane C. (Philip) Free; grandchildren, Michael (Tuesday) Hicks, Derick (Lauren) Hicks, James A. (Jennifer) Crane, Brigette (Chad) Johnson, Brandy (Justin) Fincher, and Jason (Latriece) Free; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, C. Malcolm (Patti) Rainwater; and a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and they loved her as well.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur C. Crane; parents, Acie Benjamin Rainwater and Clara Jones Rainwater; and siblings, Marie (Mack) Rainwater Parker, Evelyn (Jack) Etheridge Ballard, Chester B. (Mary) Rainwater, Lester (Edna) Rainwater; Edward Earl (Betty) Rainwater; and William Rainwater.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the Selma Church of God with Rev. Jon Chappelle and Rev. Robbie Pugh officiating.
Interment will follow in the Pineview Memory Gardens in Valley Grande.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. till 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Selma Church of God.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Michael Hicks, Derick Hicks, James A. Crane, Jason Free, Chad Johnson, Justin Fincher, and Jonathan Fondren.
Final care and arrangements have been faithfully entrusted to the care of the staff at Selma Funeral Home.
