Dorothye "Dot" Holland Jackson, known as "MaMa Dot" to everyone, age 84 of Selma passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center on Selma. She was born on June 4, 1935 in Selma.
She was a former timekeeper for All-Lock Company and a loyal member of the Dallas County Moose Lodge.
She is survived by her children, Bobbye Smitherman, Steve Holland, Terry Lambert, Becky Lipham, and Tracye Howe; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and sister, Pauline Bryant.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bobby" Holland; son, Lawrence Paul Holland; grandsons, Garrett Holland and Shadoe S. Holland; and special friend Dr. Sam Evans.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. from the Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Junior Duke officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jason Horton, Jeremy Powell, Tom Headley, George Anthony, Ronnie Lipham, Jr., and Jimmy Richey.
Honorary pallbearers will be the late Ronnie Lambert, the late Andy Howe, and the late Ronnie Lipham, Sr.
Final care and arrangements entrusted to Selma Funeral Home.
