Donald Gene Lynn, Sr. age 70 of Valley Grande, passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center in Selma.
He was born in Athens, AL on December 8, 1950 to the late Griffin Lynn and the late Catherine Horton Lynn.
He was a locksmith. Mr. Lynn also served his country in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his loving wife, Vivian Lynn; children, Gene Lynn, Jr. (Nicole), Sterling Lynn, Helena Fondren (Jason), and Justin Lynn; grandchildren, Elizabeth Lynn, Dylan Fondren, Cody Lynn, Isabella Lynn, Joshua Lynn, and Ethan Lynn; sister, Jenny Wade; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Griffin and Catherine Lynn.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Selma at 11:00am with Rev. Rod Rochester officiating.
Interment will follow at Pineview Memory Gardens in Valley Grande.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10-11 at the church.
