Dera Faye Lolley Lafata, age 72, passed away February 15, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Dera Lolley and three brothers, Melvin, Ernest and Raymond Lolley.
Dera is survived by her husband of 52 years, Joseph S. Lafata, of Selma, AL; daughter, Roseann L. Crowe of Selma, AL; son David W. Lafata of Quitman, MS; sister, Coleman Rainey of Selma, AL; grandchildren, Stephanie Arnold, Eric Arnold, Blake Crowe and Heather Crowe all of Selma, AL; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 18, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George K. Jones, Sr. officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, February 17, 2008 from 6-8:00 p.m.
Dera was a faithful member of Valley Grande Baptist Church and Gwen Dooling's Sunday School Class. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Pallbearers will be Ronald "Jack" Frost, D. W. "Robo" Robinson, James Bearden, Tom Dooling, Leonard McCary and Terrell Culpepper.
