Deborah Ann Godwin Akin

Deborah Ann Godwin Akin passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at her home in Sardis, at the age of 64.

She was born on March 26, 1959 to the late James E. Godwin and Rose Marie Hager Godwin.

She was a former teacher with the Elmore County School District.

She leaves behind her husband, Daniel Akin; her mother, Rose Marie Godwin; and a brother, James R. Godwin.

She is preceded in death by her father, James E. Godwin; and grandparents. Elbert and Melanie Godwin.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 from the Selma Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m..

Interment will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.

Final care and arrangements have been entrusted to the Selma Funeral Home.
