Darryl Scott Mckinney

Darryl Scott McKinney of Plantersville, passed away at Vaughan Regional Medical Center on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at the age of 57.

He was born in Selma on January 22, 1966 to Bob Edd McKinney and Mary Anne Sullivan McKinney.

He was a former employee of Bush Hog in Selma and West Frasier in Maplesville.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bob Edd McKinney and Mary McKinney

He is survived by his sister, Susan (Tiger) Jones; niece, Reagan (Matt) Tolbert; nephew, Michael (Ashley) Smith; great-nephews, Deacon Tolbert and Barrett Tolbert and special friends, Billy Gregg and Billy Hall.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Selma Funeral Home with Danny Rasberry officiating.

Interment will follow in Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tiger Jones, Michael Smith, Matt Tolbert, Billy Hall, Blaine Laister, Jack Jones, and Bernard Laister.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

A special thanks goes to Southern Care Hospice and the Doctors and Nurses of Vaughn Regional Medical Center and to Tiger Jones and Billy Hall.

In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 56, Stanton, AL 36790 and Wannabe Rescued.
