Connie Childers Washington Dempsey, age 87, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Maude Childers; husbands, Earl Washington and C.R. Dempsey; sisters, Jewel Fox, Geneva Fox, Elizabeth Shannon, Ruth Lacks, Bonnie Phillips, Gloria Childers: brothers, Williard Childers, Ralph Childers, James Childers and Blake Childers.
She is survived by her daughter, Anita Washington (Clarke) Skelton; sister, Betty Pugh and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Arkadelphia First Baptist Church with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Shirley Richards and Rev.Randy deBrabant officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. Interment will be at the Arkadelphia First Baptist Church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Skelton, Van Newell, Joel Pugh, Michael Pugh, Robby Dempsey and Rodney Barclay.
