Ann Goodman age 82 of Selma, passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, March 18, 2021.
She was born in Selma on October 17, 1938 to the late Virgil L. Hendrix, Sr. and the late Mary Ethel Priest Hendrix.
She was a loving and devout homemaker, daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend.
She is survived by her children, Steve Goodman, Lillie Goodman (Jerry Edwards), Sara Edwards (Wayne), Charlene Brooks (Jeremy) and Jeana Daniels; 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Virgil and Mary Ethel Hendrix; husband, Jimmy C. Goodman; grandchildren, Amy Goodman, Courtney Thrasher, and Wiley Mahan; son-in-law, Mark E. Daniels; daughter-in-law, Sandra Goodman; and siblings, Henrietta Smith, Millie Boggs, and Virgil Hendrix, Jr..
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 1:00 pm from the Cornerstone Church with Rev. Rod Rochester and Rev. Jerry Smith officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church from 12-1.
Interment will be in New Live Oak Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Calvin Edwards, Derek Edwards, James Thrasher, Daniel Thrasher, Cory Goodman, and Blake Threadgill.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse Wolf, Steven Goodman, Cody Goodman, and Kenneth Kendrick.
Final care and arrangements have been faithfully entrusted to the care of Selma Funeral Home.
