Shirley B. Turley age 84 of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. She was born in Perry County, Alabama on May 29, 1937 to the late David Bas Foster and the late Emma Kate Smith Foster. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her sons, John (Barbara) Parr and Greg (Tammy) Parr; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband, William T. Turley; parents; and siblings, Carl Foster, Carnell Foster, R.L. Foster, Clara Staggs, and Jean Stone. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. from the Hopewell Baptist Church in Marion with Dr. George Washburn officiating and Selma Funeral Home officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday at the church one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.. Pallbearers will be Michael Alison, Brad Brady, Corey Carter, Brad Hobson, Johnny Parr, Joey Smith, and Patrick Brewer. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and nurses with Comfort Care Hospice for their love and compassion shown to Granny during this time. Final care and arrangements have been faithfully entrusted to the care of Selma Funeral Home.
