Mattye Manderson

Mattye Rhea Etheridge Manderson, age 96, of Selma, AL, passed away January 1, 2018 at Bon Secours Place, St. Petersburg, FL. She was born in Beaver Creek, AL on August 16, 1921 to Syd and Mary Aletha Etheridge. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Milton Manderson; her parents; four brothers, Ellis Etheridge, Robert Etheridge, Otis Etheridge and Aaron Etheridge and four sisters, Myrtle Dunn, Arcola McManus, Mildred Kirkham and Erma Hill. Surviving are her daughters, Sheila Manderson of Clearwater, FL and Sandra Miller (Thornton) of Springfield, MO; sons, James Manderson (Janet) of Prattville, AL, Rod Manderson (Cindy) of Alpharetta, GA, Mike Manderson of Clearwater, FL and Walter Manderson (Lynn) of Hudson, FL; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma, AL. Pallbearers will be Mark Manderson, Stephen Manderson, Sydney Manderson, Zane Manderson, Aaron Etheridge and Jim Kirkham. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to your favorite charity.
