Lucile Rush Wiggins Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Lucile Rush Wiggins, age 90, of Valley Grande, went home to be with the Lord at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, AL on September 18, 2021. She was born Dec. 20,1930 in Dallas County to the late Judson Rush and Eula Davis Rush. Lucile spent her early years in the “Panhandle” of Dallas County where Fellowship Church was the center of community life. The family later moved to Selma where Lucile met and married her husband of 53 years, Claude Wiggins. She joined Central Baptist Church (Valley Grande Baptist Church) in 1949 and remained a lifelong member. She is survived by two children, Claudia (William “Buddy”) Brant of Mobile, AL, and Randy (Rosanne) Wiggins of Valley Grande, AL. Three Grandchildren, Katie (Shane) McCay of Mobile, Bryan Kuhn of Mobile, and Lauren (Josh) Dorminey, of Eclectic, AL. Seven Great Grandchildren, Leighton Rampulla, Mikayla Baumgartner, Ethan Baumgartner, Taylar McCay, Cole McCay, Ryann McCay and Kayleigh Dorminey, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Judson and Eula Rush, husband, Claude Wiggins, brother, James Rush and sister-in-law, Virginia Rush. A private family graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 11:00 at Pineview Memory Gardens with Randy deBrabant officiating. The family is especially grateful to Elizabeth Young for her help in caring for Lucile in her last years. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the charity of your choice.
