Judy C. Smitherman age 78 of Valley Grande, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at her home. She was born on December 7, 1943 in Dallas County to the late Donald Marvin Campbell and the late Eva Smith Campbell Edwards. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her children, Colonel Ray Smitherman (Kim) and Nancy Griffin; grandchildren, Austin Lee Smitherman, Heather Nicole Peoples (Jeremy), and Sterlin Trolinger; great-grandchildren, Braxton Peoples, Briah Peoples, and Hudson Trolinger; and sister, Donald Jean Booker. She is preceded in death by her husband Roy C. Smitherman; parents, Donald Campbell and Eva Campbell Edwards; and brother-in-law, Ben Booker. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Pineview Memory Gardens in Valley Grande with Bro. Randy deBrabant officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Ramsey, Robert Smitherman, Donald Chandler, Randy Smitherman, Justin Fox, Chandler Fox, Wayne Labbe, and Ken Smith. There will be no visitation, everyone please meet in the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Valley Grande Baptist Church. Final care and arrangements have been faithfully been entrusted to the care of Selma Funeral Home.
