Emmie Posey

Emmie Jo Posey, of Valley Grande, Alabama passed away on August 19, 2012 at the age of 75. She is preceded in death by her son, Tommy Posey; parents, Charles Dennis and Lennie Autrey Murphy; sister, Rosie Turner, brothers, James Morgan Dennis and Zannie Murphy and son-in-law, Ricky Holmes. She is survived by her husband, Donald Posey; daughter, Donna Holmes; son, Jimmy (Anita) Posey; daughter-in-law, Joy Posey; sisters, Brenda Tubbs, Lennie Mailone and Carol Ann Hammon; brother, Bubba (Marinda) Dennis; grandchildren, Misty (Allen) Wilkinson, Joey (Amber) Holmes, Neal (Landon) Posey, Shannon (Bryant) Miller, Tara Posey, Blair (Michael) Adams and Kelly Posey and five great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be in Pineview Memory Gardens on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Cory Horton and Rev. Bob Frazier officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Monday, August 20, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Heath Jarvis, Ferrell Denny, Greg Posey, Lawrence Nichols, Steven Posey and James Day. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Desch, Hunter Desch and members of the Selma Boating Association. The family will accept flowers, but requests that you consider making memorial donations to Asera Care Hospice, 1013 Medical Center Parkway, Selma, AL 36701.
