Don Belcher

Mr. Don Belcher age 75 of Valley Grande, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022 surrounded by his family at home. He was born in Jackson, Alabama on December 9, 1946 to the late Charlie Freeman Belcher and the late Helen Joyce Dunn Belcher. He was retired from Bush Hog. Don is survived by his children, William C. Belcher (Melissa), Stacey C. Rinehart (Chad), and Tina Nixon (Ken); grandchildren, Cody Belcher, Leslie Belcher, Lee Rinehart, Brandon Rinehart, Alyssa Styba (Anthony), and Kory Nixon; siblings, Larry Belcher (Sharon) and Peggy Woodard (Lu); brother-in-law, Mac Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Mildred Jones Belcher; and a step-son, William Harrell Dixon. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Selma Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Blake officiating. Interment will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Lee Rinehart, Brandon Rinehart, Cody Belcher, Kory Nixon, Sean Barrett, and Keith Woodard. Honorary pallbearer will be Don Jones. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the caring and compassionate staff and nurses of Southern Care Hospice. Final care and arrangements have been faithfully entrusted to the care of Selma Funeral Home.
